About Us

About Us:
We first met several years ago in Uganda, then met again in 2007 in South Africa. We began dating in Zambia, got engaged in Seattle, and were married in Indiana in 2008. We are thrilled to be starting our new life together in Africa ministering side by side. We have been in missions for a combined 20 years working in more than 30 nations during that time. In 2008 we moved to South Africa to assume the leadership of YWAM’s Bible school in Muizenberg. Our vision is to help equip pastors and leaders throughout the developing world in understanding God’s Word. Our aim is to enable them to know and study the Truth so they can effectively minister to and train the body of Christ throughout Africa.

About Sarah:
Born and raised in northern Indiana, I headed down to Nashville, TN right after high school for what was to be a short stint in missions, but I haven’t left since! I was trained in Nashville and traveled to Thailand where God broke my heart for people and for sharing Him with the nations! I spent nearly 7 years in and out of Nashville working with YWAM. I did a little bit of everything from helping to keep things running logistically in our offices to leading small teams on outreaches in the States and overseas. Some of my favorite times include leading and discipling small groups to teaching English and loving on kids in Thailand. Helping to lead youth groups on short term outreaches around the States to exploring Tunisia’s rich history and sharing God’s love. Sharing with local churches and getting them excited for missions … and the list could go on and on! For years, Africa was on my heart and mind. And for years I knew I wanted to study the Bible more. A Bible school in South Africa was a perfect fit! I just finished my Bible school last year and I am so looking forward to moving back to South Africa, working with the school, growing as a teacher and falling even more in love with the continent! In my free time I’m always up for a good cup of coffee, hanging out with friends, playing games, being outside and enjoying God’s beautiful creation, reading, and spending as much time as possible with my favorite guy.

About James:
I’ve been in missions ever since I graduated High School in 1997 and am continually amazed and grateful for the path God has put me on. I started off getting trained in Australia before moving to Asia with a team of church planters. I spent 4 years there ministering and eventually moved into business helping to establish factories and training centers throughout the nation. I went home to finish my business degree at the University of Washington and complete my Bible School. Now for the last 3 years I have been leading teams of Bible teachers to remote parts of the globe to train up pastors who don’t have access to training or the ability to afford it. It has been a wild ride with only a few weeks of the year spent at home and a lot of time spent alone in mud huts which is why I am so grateful that God has heard my cries and brought Sarah into my life. I have never been so thrilled to minister than when I am doing it side by side with someone I care about so much and I am so excited to be moving to Africa to start our new life together. Outside of ministry I am a bit of a computer & gadget geek, love sports of all kinds, listening to audio books, singing & playing guitar, and spending the rest of my life with the woman of my dreams.
